When I try to login, it says that my login or password is invalid.

Check to see if your login is correct. If you have used full registration, the login as chosen by you. You should have received it in your mailbox, as long as you specified your email address correctly. If you have used Quik Register to register, we assign you a login and password based on the email address you give us, and this information is also mailed to your email address. Again, check the email in your mailbox carefully, and double check the password in it before you enter the password.

Do I need to specify my correct email address in order to register?

Yes, this is very important. You must specify your correct email address.
If you dont' you will not be able to activate your account.

Why do you need my email address?
|
We want to ensure that no-one else steals your identity. This may jeopardize
your privacy, safety and security. Let's assume we did not take your email
address, then we would not know the difference between you, and someone
who logs in as you or purchases products using your identity. Internet
frauds are very common, and we would like to minimise the possibility
of your identity being hijacked by potentially criminal users, by reducing
the number of avenues they can use to get to your data. Since an email
address uniquely identifies you, and any email sent to it, only reaches
you, it is more difficult for other people to access your login, passwords,
private data and other crucial information.

I accidentally specified the wrong email address when I registered. Is
there anyway I can retreive my account?

account information in very little time.

In order to maintain the quality of our database, we insist that you
specify a correct email address. You cannot login to HotDiary, until your
account is successfully activated. When we verify your email address
we activate your account. Activation is a simple process. After you
register, check your mailbox for an email you should have received
from HotDiary. It contains the instructions for activating your account.
You will require an activation code to activate your account. This
code is sent to you in your mailbox. After your account is successfully
activated, you can login successfully with your login and password.

How do I activate my account?

Point your browser to
http://www.hotdiary.com/activateacc.shtml. Enter your login and your
activation code an press the submit button.

When I try to activate my account, it says my account is already activated?
|
This is good news. You need to activate your account only once. Once
you activate your account, it's time to login to HotDiary.

How is the activation code different from my password?
|
Your activation code is used only once, when you need to activate your
account. After your account is activated, all you need is your password
to login and use HotDiary.

I never received any email after I registered.
|
Several possibilities are likely, based on our prior experience:
The email address you specified is not correct or has a typo.
The email was sent to your mailbox, but re-bounded because your mailbox was full. Or it could have re-bounded if your mail server rejected it for some reason. If you contact us as this address, we should be able to confirm it if it was one of the two possibilities, by checking the returned email that we normally receive in such cases.
You specified one email address, but were expecting the email to arrive in another mailbox.

I accidentally deleted the email I received after I registered with HotDiary.

If you remember your member login, you can always use the forgot password utility to retreive your lost
password and activation code. If you do not remember your login contact us and we will be glad to help you.

Do I HAVE to activate my account?
|
For most services on HotDiary, you need to activate your account.
Usually, most services that require activation start
here. All other services have separate logins. For instance JiveIt!
has login here. And WordIt! has
login here. JiveIt! and WordIt! do not require
account activation.

WHY Do I need to activate my account?
|
For the services described above, there are several reasons why
we need you to activate your account. If you set reminders and
ask us to send you email, the reminders will not reach you unless
you specify your correct email address. In other words, unless
you activate your account, we are not sure if your email address
is correct. When emails sent to your mailboxes from your reminders
get re-bounded, it means a waste of resource use on our system.
Activation also prevents users from deliberately and/or un-knowingly
spamming other people's email addresses, when they use reminders
or messaging services. Last but not least, it is important for
us to know if you are a legitimate user of HotDiary. We reserve
the right to contact you, if we
suspect that you are using HotDiary for reasons other than it's
intended use.

How do I delete my account?

order to delete your account. If you do not have this information
